Software Design Engineer

Role Overview

As a Software Design Engineer in our Electronics & Telecommunication R&D team, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of our electric systems, including protection relays and PTP time servers. You’ll collaborate with a team of experts in a stimulating, knowledge-sharing environment, where your contributions in embedded software design, development, and validation are valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research, develop, test, and validate software for protection relays and time servers.
  • Ensure robustness of application software using advanced tools and methods.
  • Provide technical support and contribute to product improvement initiatives.
  • Develop specifications and validation plans for new products.
  • Collaborate with SW/HW teams for subsystem-level development.
  • Create design guidelines and promote knowledge reuse.
  • Perform risk analysis and define critical quality features.
  • Contribute to technical roadmaps.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Control & Automation/Computer Engineering (Master preffered).
  • 2- 5 years experience in embedded C/C++ software development experience.
  • Strong knowledge of microcontroller architectures and peripherals (ADC, PWM, I2C, UART, SPI and etc.).
  • Embedded Linux development experience (ideally some driver/kernel exposure is a plus).
  • Python development for embedded linux applications and services.
  • Experience with MISRA-C and embedded Linux (preferred).
  • Experience with at least one RTOS.
  • Familiarity with version control (Git).
  • Collaborative team member
  • Advanced skills in MS Office.
  • Systematic testing and debugging, and code review experience
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
