Senior Software Design Engineer

Role Overview

As a Senior Software Design Engineer in our Electronics & Telecommunication R&D team, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of our electric systems, including protection relays and PTP time servers. You’ll collaborate with ateam of experts in a stimulating, knowledge-sharing environment, where your contributions in embedded software design, development, and validation are valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and innovate in new and existing design projects for embedded software.
  • Research, develop, test, and validate software for protection relays and time servers.
  • Architect embedded system software for optimal performance.
  • Manage project lifecycle from concept to production, including documentation.
  • Ensure robustness of application software using advanced tools and methods.
  • Provide technical support and contribute to product improvement initiatives.
  • Develop specifications and validation plans for new products.
  • Collaborate with SW/HW teams for subsystem-level development.
  • Create design guidelines and promote knowledge reuse.
  • Perform risk analysis and define critical quality features.
  • Contribute to technical roadmaps and scout emerging technologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Control & Automation/Computer Engineering (Master or Ph.D. preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in embedded C/C++ programming and ARM Cortex M3/M4/A8 MCUs.
  • Strong knowledge of microcontroller architectures and peripherals (ADC, PWM, I2C, UART, SPI).
  • Proficiency in MISRA-C and embedded Linux (preferred).
    Solid understanding of FMEA, project management, and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office.
  • Excellent analytical abilities and experience with complex systems.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
